Process Control Specialist

Besides its own distribution centers (DCs), Action uses external parties, called logistics service providers (LSPs), to run outsourced DCs. In an outsourced DC, a small team of Action employees works with the LSP to monitor and improve logistics processes. The Process Control Specialist reports directly to the Logistics Service Manager and is responsible for implementing, maintaining and monitoring logistics processes and systems within the distribution center.

• Responsible for managing processes and systems
• Ensures standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed, maintained and adjusted when needed
• Ensures key performance indicators are tracked
• Provides input to the LSM to translate Action's general logistics guidelines and ways of working into the LSP's operations
• Provides input to the LSM to prepare business cases for potential process improvements, agreed with HQ Process Management
• Supports the LSM in ensuring compliance with labor, environmental and safety regulations
• Represents the Logistics Service Manager during their absence
• On-site contact for all questions about SAP EWM
• Ensures processes meet the requirements of the SAP system
• Defines planning and priorities
• Monitors and promotes continuous improvement of local processes
• Monitors and delivers improvements to business processes and workflows for logistics operations in line with the process improvements of all Action distribution centers

• Completed bachelor's degree or vocational training with further education, combined with several years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in retail or logistics
• Excellent German skills and business-level English
• Experience in process management and process improvement methods
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with SAP (PRD and EWM)
• Suggests and implements efficient and effective working methods with as little complexity as possible
• High level of pragmatism
• Very well organized, able to structure activities and projects, reliably meets deadlines and guidelines
• Works efficiently and effectively, also under time pressure
• Works successfully with others to reach shared goals
