• Create Finite Element (FE) Models of satellite structures, instruments and components.
• Conduct static and dynamic, linear and nonlinear structural analyses
• Perform structural assessments by means of hand calculations
• (Further-)develop tools in Excel or Matlab for the automatization of analysis pre-/ postprocessing tasks
• Understand and prepare technical documentation in English or German

• Enrolled Master student (d/f/m) within aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Solid knowledge of the Finite‑Element Method (FEM), structural mechanics, and thermo‑elasticity.
• Practical experience with FE solvers (preferably MSC Nastran, OptiStruct) and preprocessors (HyperMesh).
• Some experience in numerical structural optimization or with design‑exploration tools (such as Siemens HEEDS, Altair HyperStudy) is advantageous.
• Good programming skills in Python, along with confident use of Linux environments and Bash scripting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent English is mandatory; German would be an asset.
• Good communication skills required.
