University Internship Product Development, Packaging & Sterilization

Within the Center of Excellence for Infusion & Pain Therapy of the Hospital Care division, we are looking for a university intern to support development projects for medical products at the Melsungen site as soon as possible. The Design for Excellence department develops product designs taking a holistic approach (manufacturability, sterilizability, usability and cost) for use in infusion therapy, pain therapy and drug preparation. Within the Sterilization and Packaging team, innovative packaging systems are developed and the multifaceted influences of sterilization on the product are evaluated.

Conceptualization and development of new product designs as part of an interdisciplinary development team; Independent execution and analysis of product or functional characteristics; Support in evaluation of products regarding sterilizability; Development documentation; Normalization and preparation of development data; Support in building a development database.

Professional Competencies: Very good academic performance in the fields of medical technology, plastics technology, packaging technology, process engineering and mechanical engineering; Proficient MS Office skills; Independent, results-oriented way of working; Good English skills written and spoken.
