As a local reporter (f/m/d) with us, you have the opportunity to tell exciting stories from the region. The Mediengruppe Mitteldeutschland, with its affiliated organizations, is part of the Bauer Media Group and counts among the large, traditional media houses in Germany. It consists of a regional network of companies in the media and service sectors. They produce, among others, the daily newspapers 'Volksstimme' in Magdeburg and 'Mitteldeutsche Zeitung' in Halle. For our locations Gardelegen and/or Stendal, we are looking for people who like to be close to the action – to topics, stories, and the people in our region.

Your tasks: With a sure instinct for trends, you pick up early on what moves the region. Clearly, vividly, and precisely, you tell stories for print, online, and social media. Curiously and thoroughly, you research regional developments and contribute your own articles and commentaries. In conversations with people, you obtain strong quotes and shape them into interviews, features, and reportages for various formats.

Your profile: Passion for language and reporting shapes your work and thinking. You bring a journalistic education or experience in local journalism – preferably from a comparable environment. With initiative and a keen eye, you recognize stories with local relevance and work independently on their implementation. Strong communication skills facilitate your interaction with people and the formulation of clear messages. You have a confident command of digital tools – or are open to further development in this area.
