Working Student Assembly and Interconnection Technology for Power Electronics

Our team at the BMW Group develops and manufactures power-electronic assemblies and power modules, from simulation to the finished product. During your working-student role, you will gain practical laboratory experience with specialized equipment that you rarely encounter during your studies. Together, we will advance our AVT laboratory.

• You support the production and assembly of power electronics assemblies and power modules.
• You help operate the die bonder, sintering press and wire bonder, and carry out and evaluate pull and shear tests.
• You support the preparation and documentation of experiments.
• You help with thermal and electrical simulation of power modules and assemblies and support the design of test fixtures, holders and test setups.
• You realise your own designs using 3D printing.
• You support the commissioning and care of lab equipment.
• You help with technical research and procurement of equipment, tools and lab supplies and contribute to the development of the AVT lab.

• Studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, physics, materials science or a comparable technical degree programme
• Enjoyment of hands-on lab work
• Strong interest in power electronics and semiconductor technology
• Proactive approach to solving technical problems
• Structured and careful way of working
• Good German and English skills
