• Analysis, preparation and visualization of data from metal cutting processes
• Investigation of relationships between process parameters and machining results
• Development and comparison of data-driven and physics-informed models
• Integration of physical process knowledge into machine learning approaches
• Application and evaluation of Physics-Informed Machine Learning methods
• Validation of developed models based on experimental data as well as development and execution of suitable test series on the shop floor
• Structured documentation, evaluation and presentation of results

• Studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or a comparable subject
• Interest in CNC metal processing, process modeling and data-driven methods
• Good knowledge of Python and handling of data
• Knowledge in Physics-Informed Machine Learning, Scientific Machine Learning, Simulation or physical modeling is a plus
• Good analytical understanding and joy in combining physical and data-based perspectives
• Structured and independent working style
