Legal Counsel

Permanent, full-time position in DACHSER's Corporate Legal Team, focusing on contracts and mergers and acquisitions. DACHSER develops and connects logistics networks worldwide.

• As part of the Corporate Legal Team, focus on preparing, drafting and reviewing contracts across different areas of law, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions.
• Conduct negotiations independently and with the relevant operational business unit for national and international logistics and other business projects. In particular, independently manage the legal aspects of company transactions across different jurisdictions with local law firms.
• Alongside your main M&A responsibilities, support and advise the global organisation on selected general business matters.
• Support the Corporate Legal Team with internal training on various legal topics.
• Act as a knowledgeable contact for potential legal issues in projects involving multiple departments.

• You have completed your law studies and passed the second German state examination in law, ideally also gaining knowledge of foreign legal systems, for example through a Master of Laws degree.
• You have several years of experience at a law firm or company and ideally have strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
• You think commercially and can win colleagues over with practical solutions.
• You communicate confidently in German and English and can negotiate comfortably in both languages. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage. You enjoy learning about new subjects, learn quickly and can present your findings confidently and accurately.
• You work well in a team within the department and beyond, while also enjoying handling specialist tasks independently and taking responsibility for them.
