Apprenticeship 2027 - Paint Laboratory Technician*

We develop our young talent from our own ranks and are looking for applicants at the Ober-Ramstadt site for an apprenticeship 2027 as a paint laboratory technician. Paint laboratory technicians have a broad range of expertise. They participate in the development and production of paints and lacquers, and also need knowledge of the material properties of the raw materials to be processed and the substrates to be coated. The various processing techniques of paints, lacquers and plasters, independent quality control and documentation of work and test results round off the job profile of 'paint laboratory technician'. The apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years and ends with the final examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. With good academic and operational performance, a reduction of half a year is possible.

Participate in the development and production of paints and lacquers, acquire knowledge of material properties of raw materials and substrates, learn various processing techniques of paints, lacquers and plasters, perform independent quality control, document work and test results.

For the apprenticeship, a general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or a good secondary school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss) is required. Understanding of scientific, especially chemical and physical issues, manual dexterity and careful work, sensitivity regarding occupational health and safety and environmental protection, creativity and initiative.
