What awaits you: The HSE Officer processes, controls and monitors topics of operational occupational health and safety and fire protection and advises management and all departments on questions in these areas. This applies in particular to the design, testing and introduction of work systems/processes/substances as well as the planning and evaluation of operating facilities and workplaces

• Assumption of tasks as a safety specialist and support of management in ensuring legally compliant, effective occupational health and safety
• Responsibility for performing the tasks of the fire protection officer as well as advising and supporting management in implementing effective fire protection measures, compliance with legal requirements and continuous improvement of the fire protection level at the site
• Participation in the creation and adaptation of HSE-relevant guidelines, procedures, processes and documents as well as implementation of standards in occupational health, safety and fire protection, particularly with regard to legal compliance in these areas
• Participation in the introduction of an occupational health and safety management system
• Participation in conception, implementation and monitoring of HSE instruction for all employees and external companies
• Participation in updating the hazardous substances register and classification of hazardous substances according to Hazardous Substances and CLP Regulation as well as derivation of measures for safe handling

• Completed degree (e.g. in safety management, hazard prevention or environmental management, engineering or natural sciences) or completed vocational training with many years of relevant professional experience in occupational safety and fire protection
• Qualification as a safety specialist and fire protection officer
• First knowledge of occupational health and safety management systems
• Knowledge of environmental management
• Very good German and English skills
• Knowledge of standard applications (MS Office)
• Experience in the aviation industry an advantage
• Independent, committed, structured, goal- and solution-oriented way of working
• High degree of discretion, trustworthiness
• Good written and oral presentation skills
• Comprehensive understanding of the respective German/European legal and regulatory frameworks and other legal requirements or willingness to familiarize oneself
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
