Apprenticeship and Advanced Training Program to Become a Retail Specialist (IHK) 2027

The three-year program combines an apprenticeship as a retail salesperson with advanced training to become a retail specialist (IHK). You earn the first qualification after 18 to 24 months and the second at the end of the program.

Advise customers; manage sales, purchasing, ordering and warehousing; present goods in a sales-promoting manner and contribute to assortment planning and merchandising; plan and organize sales; operate tills and prepare cash reconciliations; manage your own area; determine and analyze business performance indicators; lead employees and train new apprentices; help manage business processes; acquire knowledge in business administration, marketing, work organization, accounting, bookkeeping, branch accounting, organization, logistics, sales and personnel management.

Good higher education entrance qualification, Abitur or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification; determination; enjoyment of interacting with people and an open-minded attitude; sense of responsibility and commitment; interest in business processes and relationships; friendly manner, well-groomed appearance and good communication skills; team spirit and quick comprehension.
