Do you want to work with people, take responsibility and learn something new every day? With us, you're not just an apprentice – you become part of a strong community that loves food and shapes your future. You'll master everything related to goods – besides sales, you'll also take responsibility in purchasing, ordering and warehousing. You advise our customers as the first point of contact and are the first showcase of our philosophy: We love food. You operate the checkouts, handle accounting and advise customers on our services. You design product presentations to promote sales and participate in assortment design, marketing and product display. You control merchandise management processes and assist in personnel deployment planning. Your apprenticeship lasts 3 years. Under certain conditions, it can be shortened with good performance. Afterwards you'll hold the qualification of Retail Salesperson (m/f/d) – a foundation for a fast career and self-employment at EDEKA. During the apprenticeship you'll go through varied fields of activity and with exclusive further training programmes we'll push you to even more success, step by step. You can specialise in areas such as "Procurement-oriented Merchandise Management", "Consulting and Sales", "Merchandise Analysis" and "Control and Management". Additionally, you can acquire the additional qualification "Basics of Entrepreneurial Self-Employment". Besides vocational school, you'll attend seminars that only EDEKA offers in this form, providing you with important additional information.
