Apprenticeship as Retail Sales Assistant with Additional Fresh Food Specialist Qualification 2027

The initially two-year apprenticeship teaches a wide range of retail tasks, focusing on fresh food and customer service. During the apprenticeship, trainees also begin the Fresh Food Specialist qualification, which is completed after three years with a separate Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination.

Learn a wide range of retail tasks focused on fresh food and customer service; serve and advise customers; operate cash registers and complete reconciliations; create sales-promoting product displays and contribute to range planning, marketing and merchandising; store and handle fresh food correctly while observing hygiene standards; organise sales and tasting events and assess their success using merchandise management data.
