Electronic Engineer

As an Electronic Engineer (m/f/d) at Fresenius Medical Care, you develop and support electronic components and assemblies for dialysis systems. You work closely with interdisciplinary teams and make an important contribution to the quality, safety and further development of the products. The position is initially fixed-term until 30.09.2028.

• You develop analog and digital electronic circuits and assemblies for medical devices, from requirements analysis and concept through prototypes to series readiness.
• You handle the design, simulation and worst-case analysis of circuit sections and the selection of suitable electronic components.
• You create circuit diagrams and support the development of EMC-compliant PCB layouts as well as the related development and verification tests.
• You ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety requirements according to IEC 60601-1 and support the implementation of quality assurance measures.
• You handle change processes, quality problems and component discontinuations and assess the impact on existing circuits, including selecting and qualifying suitable replacement components.
• You work in national and international development and sustaining projects and coordinate closely with software, mechanical, test, production and other departments as well as external partners.
• You create and maintain development-related technical documentation, carry out reviews and support risk analyses, verifications and improvements in manufacturability and cost optimization.

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, information technology or a comparable technical field.
• Ideally at least 3 years of professional experience in electronics or hardware development, preferably in medical devices or a regulated industry.
• Solid practical experience in developing analog and digital electronic circuits, plus a broad technical understanding of electronic systems.
• Experience in simulating and analyzing analog and digital circuits, and ideally knowledge of worst-case analysis and electrical safety.
• Knowledge of low-level microcontroller programming, preferably with C/C++, and confident use of electronic measuring equipment.
• Experience with ECAD and simulation systems, e.g. LTspice or MATLAB, and good knowledge of common MS Office applications.
• Good German and English skills, spoken and written, a structured and results-oriented way of working, and strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills. Openness to technical innovation and occasional national or international business travel complete your profile.
