About this Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship as paramedic 2027 (m/f/d) Duration: 3.5 months. Five watch areas – one central patient transport location, around 65,000 missions per year and 250 colleagues in operational service. That's us – the Kreis Soest Rescue Service! Apply now for your quick and versatile entry into our modern rescue service: Training dates in the 1st quarter (will be announced at short notice). We look forward to your application via Interamt.de! Please refrain from postal or email applications. The training lasts a total of 14 weeks (520 hours) and is divided into five parts: In the theoretical-practical paramedic course (240 hours) at the Westfalen-Lippe Study Institute in Bielefeld, you will learn anatomy, physiology, and other important content for the paramedic role over six weeks. First practical exercises in the modern simulation center are also included: e.g., a simulation caravan for drug emergencies, a traffic accident simulation, or a simulation disco. After the course, you start a two-week clinical internship (80 hours). There you will be integrated into hospital workflows as an aspiring paramedic – you will experience teamwork, patient interaction, and the opportunity to apply your learned knowledge in practice. The third part takes place at a rescue station (160 hours) in the district. For four weeks you will be guided by experienced rescue service staff during missions and gain a comprehensive impression of a paramedic's daily work. Finally, a one-week theoretical-practical final course (40 hours) takes place. The training ends with the state paramedic examination. Deployment in qualified patient transport (KTW) with own, new, and modern station in Soest (KTW pool). Full-time 39 hrs/week (part-time models possible by arrangement). Long-term duty roster planning according to framework plan with assignment to early, late, night, and intermediate shifts. Regulated weekend duties. Modern vehicles with very high-quality equipment. Digital mission documentation via tablets. Secure workplace in an innovative rescue service. Remuneration according to collective agreement (TVÖD). Company pension scheme (kvw).
