Apprenticeship as Industrial Mechanic

I am in my first year of apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic at K+S. I previously completed my FOS internship here. Since I liked the internship very much, I decided to do an apprenticeship at K+S and am very satisfied that I chose this path. Yes. In my free time I like to tinker, so I definitely wanted to do an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic to combine my hobby with my profession. Through stories I knew K+S even before the FOS internship. The training fair in Fulda confirmed my good impression. That's why I did my internship here back then and then wanted to do the industrial mechanic apprenticeship at K+S. I find the work exciting and interesting and also I can work independently and take responsibility. At K+S, the buddy mentality is paramount. That means helpfulness, collegiality and always having an open ear for problems are of great importance in our culture. My fellow apprentices and I particularly like the "GUT DRAUF" program at the site. "GUT DRAUF" is a program of the Federal Centre for Health Education to make the apprenticeship healthier, more active and less stressful. This includes activities such as a healthy breakfast, a jog at lunchtime to bring more movement into everyday life, as well as excursions or seminars on stress management before upcoming exams. We also have a room where we can withdraw and take a breath. A particularly cool thing is working on projects. A good example is when the training fair in Fulda is approaching. For this fair we build models of our machines in miniature, which are then used at the training fair. This particularly promotes teamwork, craftsmanship and it's fun to see the finished model at the end. Moreover, we learn in project work to approach a task objectively and solve it. My goal is to successfully complete the apprenticeship and then work as a journeyman. Later I would like to do my technician or master craftsman qualification.
