Carpenter / Joiner in Construction Engineering, Early Shift

K+S Minerals and Agriculture GmbH is seeking a carpenter or joiner for construction engineering on the early shift at its Bergmannssegen-Hugo site in Sehnde, starting as soon as possible. The position lasts two years and is planned as full time; complementary part time arrangements are generally possible.

• Carry out carpentry, timber construction and maintenance work on doors, gates, windows, stairs, floors and other wooden structures using suitable tools, machinery and materials.
• Make, adapt and install custom wooden components and special structures in an industrial setting, and regularly service, repair and maintain wooden parts of the site's infrastructure.
• Assess damage and independently carry out suitable repairs, plus minor building alterations and additions in coordination with the plant engineer.
• Support maintenance and repairs across departments and keep tools, machinery and equipment tidy and in working order.
• Follow all workplace safety rules and identify and remove hazards.

• Completed vocational training as a carpenter, joiner or wood mechanic, plus several years of relevant experience in wood processing, ideally in maintenance or industrial construction.
• Experience making, installing and repairing doors, gates, windows, stairs and similar building components, and safely using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Ability to produce individual custom solutions, a strong willingness to work and practical craft skills.
• Category B driving licence and ideally a forklift licence.
