Precision meets craftsmanship and high-tech! We train you in an exciting industrial environment – our foundry! Because before metal can be cast, it needs perfect models. Without precise model work, no high-quality cast product is created! As a Technical Model Maker specializing in foundry model making, you are the "architect of the form". You produce models and model equipment that later serve as the basis for the production of casting molds. You work from technical drawings or CAD data and produce precise component models from wood, plastic or metal. In doing so, you combine craftsmanship with modern technology. Specifically with us, you will also get to know modern digital manufacturing technologies.

• You plan and produce models, model plates and core boxes for foundry processes.
• You process materials by sawing, milling, drilling or grinding.
• You work on conventional tools as well as on computer-controlled machines.
• You check dimensions and quality with measuring instruments and adjust models if necessary.
• You maintain model equipment and optimize it for the casting process.
• You create 3D models based on technical drawings.
• You design complete model equipment according to specifications.
• You create and maintain data sets for the use of our sand printer.
• You create print data and operate our SLA 3D printers.

• Intermediate school leaving certificate or very good qualifying lower secondary school leaving certificate.
• Good grades in mathematics and physics.
• Technical understanding and manual dexterity.
• Spatial imagination and careful way of working.
