Mechatronics Technician

Mechatronics technicians work in the assembly and maintenance of complex machines, systems and equipment. The role focuses on integrating modular and standardised components, understanding interrelationships, taking a holistic view of systems, designing work processes and collaborating with upstream and downstream departments. The apprenticeship normally lasts 3.5 years and can be shortened to 3 years with very good to good performance. Training takes place mainly in manufacturing areas of LAPP's sister companies in Stuttgart and at the logistics centre in Ludwigsburg. The first 11 months are completed through external training at the GARP Training Centre in Ostfildern-Ruit.
