Apprenticeship as Dental Assistant (ZFA)

You work closely with our experienced dental assistants (ZFA) who will accompany you throughout your entire 3-year apprenticeship. They are at your side for all technical questions and actively help you familiarize yourself with the various areas of responsibility. Your main task is to support the dentists in treating patients. In doing so, you learn how to ensure that patients feel comfortable and well cared for in our practice. You take on administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and documentation of patient records. This helps you understand and learn the organizational processes of a dental practice. You prepare treatment rooms, assist with instrument reprocessing and pay attention to hygiene standards. These activities enable you to learn the practical handling of important aspects of dental practice. During your apprenticeship you assist in dental treatments and are introduced to the versatile activities of a dental assistant (ZFA). In addition, you take care of the billing of dental services and support the team with organizational tasks, gaining important practical experience in administration and billing.

You have a good school diploma (at least lower secondary school leaving certificate), bring interest in medical and organizational topics or have already started your apprenticeship in another practice. You are a team player and enjoy working with people. A friendly, empathetic demeanor and good communication skills characterize you. You have a high willingness to learn and are motivated to familiarize yourself with dental procedures. You are reliable, careful and keep a cool head even in stressful situations.
