Apprentice IT Specialist for System Integration

The Max Planck Institute for Astronomy is looking for an apprentice for its IT department. During the three-year apprenticeship, you will work in an international research environment supporting and further developing the institute's IT infrastructure.

Learn about and contribute to network and system administration, server virtualization, operating systems, WLAN, VoIP, IT support, software deployment and installation, IT security, project planning and AI; support and further develop the institute's IT infrastructure.

Good intermediate school-leaving certificate, Abitur or advanced technical college entrance qualification; good results in mathematics, German and English; technical understanding and enthusiasm for IT systems; logical and analytical thinking; solution-oriented approach; communication skills; initiative, willingness to learn and ability to work in a team.

Pay under the TVAöD collective agreement, expected to be €1,368.26 gross per month in the first year; annual special payment; 31 days of leave; learning materials allowance; public transport ticket subsidy; social benefits including occupational pension provision; in-house cafeteria.
