Apprenticeship as Curative Education Nurse

You care for patients, assist with diagnostics, and keep an eye on documentation. You contribute to the development of innovative educational and nursing concepts. You learn all about psychiatric clinical pictures and therapies. You benefit from our expertise in psychiatric and forensic clinics during your practical phases. You will be prepared step by step for independent work by experienced practice instructors. You can work as a HEP in child and adolescent psychiatry, psychiatry, or forensic psychiatry. And if desired, you can switch to another area to expand your experience.

You have an acceptance and a school contract with a state-recognized vocational school for curative education nursing. You have a lower secondary school diploma (Mittelschulabschluss) or a higher qualification or bring relevant prior experience. You are interested in caring for mentally ill people. You show a lot of empathy, social competence, and reliability in dealing with others. You enjoy working in a multiprofessional team and look forward to collaborating with various professional groups. You are motivated and willing to do an internship before the start of training.

• Requirements for HEP training: Lower secondary school diploma:
• 2-year social training or
• 2-year non-relevant training + 200 hours in social sector or
• 2-year activity in social sector (e.g., FSJ/BFD, internship, assistant) + Training as curative education nursing assistant (1 year) Intermediate school diploma:
• 1-year HEP training or 2-year social training or
• 2-year non-relevant training + 200 hours in social sector or
• 1-year HEJ/SEJ or 2-year activity in social sector (e.g., FSJ/BFD, internship, assistant) Abitur | Technical college entrance qualification:
• 200 hours in social sector
