About this Apprenticeship
As part of the PreMaster Program, you will work directly on the development of new production processes in the semiconductor industry. The position forms the interface between theoretical conception and physical implementation: You support the optimization of existing equipment through CAD modeling and simulations and accompany the subsequent implementation up to prototyping. The goal is to give you a comprehensive insight into semiconductor manufacturing, particularly the field of Si epitaxy.
What You'll Learn
Your area of responsibility: - Hardware Engineering: You design and simulate novel hardware adaptations for epitaxy systems and create precise CAD models of current solutions. - Simulation & Analysis: Based on your CAD models, you perform simple gas flow simulations to validate optimization potentials software-supported. - Prototyping & Testing: You support the manufacturing of prototypes and hardware modifications and accompany the subsequent testing directly at the tool. - Process Development: You actively participate in the execution of test series and the development of new processes under cleanroom conditions.
Requirements
Profile: Education: Above-average completed university degree (Bachelor) in engineering (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics) or a comparable course of study and the concrete intention to pursue a Master's degree afterwards. Experience and know-how: First practical experience with SolidWorks or comparable CAD software as well as basic knowledge of semiconductor electronics and mechanics; knowledge of process engineering or fluid technology is an advantage. Personality and work style: Committed, motivated, independent, and structured. Daily work: The activity will take place 50% in a cleanroom. Enthusiasm: Enthusiasm for the optimization and development of new technologies. Languages: Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
