Dual Study Program (TH) incl. Ausbildung (IHK) - Mechanical Engineering 2026

Welcome to Schaeffler AG! This dual study programme at a technical university, including IHK vocational training in mechanical engineering (all genders), for 2026 takes place in Hirschaid, Bavaria. Training starts on 1 September 2026 and lasts 54 months. Start your career in a technical field and develop valuable skills for your professional future.

• Ausbildung as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d) with the acquisition of basic metalworking skills (including hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, control technology)
• Applied research and practice-oriented teaching in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering (including mathematics, physics, technical mechanics, design theory, materials science, machine elements, computer science, thermodynamics, machine and fluid dynamics, electrical drive systems, control engineering)
• Gaining insight into engineering activities in a globally operating company through practical assignments in various company departments (e.g., production, research & development, design, special machine construction, e-mobility)
• Stays abroad (worldwide)
• Own responsible project work
• Bachelor's thesis

• General university entrance qualification (Abitur) or comparable school leaving certificate
• Enthusiasm for innovative technology
• Interest in natural sciences
• Good skills in mathematics and physics
• High willingness to learn, self-initiative and goal orientation
