Student of Physics/Engineering for Master's Thesis in Laser Material Processing

To support our Post Processing department within Research & Development in Mainz-Marienborn, we are offering a master's thesis of at least 5 - 6 months as soon as possible. An internship beforehand to get familiar with the topic is welcome.

• Carrying out and evaluating experiments on structuring optical glasses using pulsed laser radiation
• Adapting an existing optical lab setup, possibly including adjusting the proprietary control software
• Independent and self-responsible work in the given topic area
• Working in a dynamic development team

• Studies in physics, applied physics or microsystems engineering, materials science or a comparable degree program
• Interest in optics and laser technology
• Prior experience with measuring devices and lab work is an advantage
• Programming experience desirable, preferably in Python
• Good English skills
• Good teamwork and communication skills and an independent way of working
