Apprenticeship - Machine and Plant Operator

During your apprenticeship you get to know all areas of modern ice cream production. In the 2-year apprenticeship you become a specialist (f/m/d) in the industrial production of high-quality ice cream products. Your practical training takes place at the Bon Gelati site in Übach-Palenberg, and your vocational school classes are at the Central Trade School of the German Confectionery Industry in Solingen.

• You gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the machine production of high-quality ice cream products, through to fully automatic packaging and storage.
• Your training includes measuring and testing methods, e.g. in raw material inspection at goods receipt or during preparation and on the final product.
• You learn and apply hygiene and quality standards to ensure the legally required food safety.
• Your areas of work include setting up, monitoring and operating computer-controlled production and packaging systems.

• You have completed Fachoberschulreife or a good Hauptschulabschluss.
• You have good grades in science subjects (especially physics and also mathematics).
• You are enthusiastic about technical processes and devices, machines and plants and how they work.
• You have manual skills and an interest in food.
• You are willing to work in shifts during and after the apprenticeship.
• You are a team player, reliable, responsible and motivated.
