Enterprise Architect Complex Transformation Projects / Core Systems

The Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) division forms a strategic control centre: We plan, monitor and control the transformation of the entire application landscape and work closely and effectively with the responsible agile teams in essential strategic transformation projects and initiatives.

• As an Enterprise Architect (m/f/d), you are the driving force for this profound change. You connect business visions with future-proof architecture concepts and ensure that strategic guardrails are translated into viable solutions. Your core tasks include:
• You plan and control strategic transformation projects holistically to fundamentally modernise core insurance and cross-sectional systems and transfer them into a modular, cloud-ready and AI-capable target architecture
• You design, update and coordinate robust target architectures and migration paths, keeping regulatory requirements such as DORA and industry-specific compliance firmly in view
• In close cooperation with domain and solution architects, initiative leads and agile teams, you ensure feasibility, coherence and high delivery quality of solutions
• You define and establish binding architecture principles and standards – from Cloud-Ready through API-First to Data & AI-Readiness – to avoid silo solutions and technical legacy
• You continuously analyse the existing application landscape to identify renewal or consolidation needs at an early stage and derive concrete architecture changes
• You prepare strategic technology decisions for management and steering committees, represent them convincingly and communicate complex scenarios understandably and business-oriented

• You prepare strategic technology decisions for management and steering committees, represent them convincingly and communicate complex scenarios understandably and business-oriented

• You have a degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Physics or a comparable IT qualification
• You have sound experience in Enterprise, Domain or Solution Architecture of business-critical core systems, ideally in the regulated financial or insurance environment
• You have already successfully led complex, long-term transformation programmes such as cloud transformations, legacy replacements or core system renewals architecturally
• You have deep knowledge of modern architecture styles such as cloud-native, microservices, event-driven, APIs and the integration of data and AI platforms
• You know the regulatory requirements in the financial sector, e.g. VAIT or DORA, and skilfully combine compliance with agile working methods
• You communicate strongly at all levels, moderate confidently and convince stakeholders from development teams to C-level
• You think strategically, act pragmatically in daily work and bring calm to complex issues as a solution-oriented personality
• You ideally have certifications such as TOGAF, iSAQB or cloud certificates
• You are willing to travel to our locations in Dortmund and Hamburg and communicate in German with negotiation proficiency
