Strategic Buyer

Full-time strategic purchasing position at Sortimo International GmbH in Zusmarshausen. Sortimo develops vehicle equipment, mobile transport solutions, shelving systems and cases and employs around 1,300 people worldwide. The role is fully on-site.

Independently develop and implement sustainable category strategies to achieve cost, quality and supply targets. Select, evaluate and develop suppliers, including audits, and build strategic partnerships. Lead price, contract and framework agreement negotiations. Manage escalations and ensure supply continuity during deviations and crises. Analyze global procurement markets and identify risks, opportunities and alternative sources. Contribute to innovation and development projects and work closely with development, production, quality and logistics.

Completed degree in business administration or engineering, or alternatively commercial vocational training with relevant further qualifications. Relevant experience in strategic purchasing, contract and procurement law, and negotiations. Good technical understanding and confident use of quality standards such as ISO 9001. Knowledge of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation or an interest in sustainable packaging solutions is an advantage. Confident use of MS Office and initial SAP or ERP experience are desirable. Very good German and English skills. Friendly personality, quick comprehension, team spirit, analytical ability and enjoyment of independent work.
