How does a landscape become a precise plan – and how does a plan become reality? That is exactly what surveying is about. As a surveying technician, you record position and elevation data of properties, buildings, and landscapes and bring them to the point with modern technology. Conversely, you ensure that plans are implemented exactly on site. Variety is guaranteed: you work both in the office and outdoors in the field. At the PC, you use modern calculation, drawing, and CAD programs, while in the field you are on the move with high-precision technology – for example, total stations, GPS, 3D laser scanners, or surveying drones. Whether sunshine, autumn weather, or winter cold: surveying takes place in every season. You are active outdoors, work with state-of-the-art technology, and see directly what results from your work. The best part: no two days are the same. The alternation between digital planning in the office and practical work in the field makes the apprenticeship versatile, technically exciting, and future-oriented.
