Electronics technicians for operating technology have diverse tasks around the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in public operations. During the three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship at the Technical Operations Solingen, you will learn:

• Fundamentals of electrical engineering
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic light systems
• Maintenance of street lighting and switching systems
• Calibration and adjustment of measuring and control devices for optimal system performance
• Work in high-bay and outdoor areas under safety regulations
• Documentation of tests and creation of maintenance reports

• At least a secondary school diploma (Hauptschulabschluss)
• Interest in technology and electronic systems
• You are good with mathematics and physics
