Expert Fiber Optic and Line Planning

You are responsible for the planning and project design of fiber optic and line infrastructures as the basis for the transport-technical connection of mobile radio sites, amplifier points, aggregation sites and strategic customer projects You develop and establish future-proof, economical and synergistic network expansion strategies for the transport network and advise the specialist departments involved in their implementation You create market analyses, requirement and feasibility studies as well as business cases for the evaluation and preparation of new fiber optic expansion projects You define requirements for processes as well as planning and documentation tools, accompany their further development and conduct reviews of planning specifications and standards in the transport network You work closely with the specialist departments and relevant interfaces involved and represent the topics of fiber optic and line planning in cross-departmental coordination and projects

• You define requirements for processes as well as planning and documentation tools, accompany their further development and conduct reviews of planning specifications and standards in the transport network
• You work closely with the specialist departments and relevant interfaces involved and represent the topics of fiber optic and line planning in cross-departmental coordination and projects

• Successfully completed technical or scientific degree or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in network planning, ideally in the environment of transport or telecommunications networks
• Strong analytical, conceptual and organizational skills as well as the ability to structurally evaluate complex technical interrelationships and derive practical solutions
• Sound experience in using planning and engineering tools as well as in creating and evaluating technical planning concepts
• Very good knowledge of the transport network, its architecture and the technologies used, as well as a comprehensive technical understanding of the key transport network platforms
• Very good knowledge of the network infrastructure and the interplay of fixed-line and mobile networks
• High self-initiative and sense of responsibility as well as the ability to work across departments with different stakeholders
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, at least level B2 according to CEFR
