Process Technologist Adhesive and Potting Systems

Webasto in Schierling (Greater Regensburg area) is looking for a process technologist for automatic bonding processes in battery production. All positions can be done part-time.

• Planning, procurement and support of automatic bonding methods and processes for battery production while meeting cost, quality and deadlines according to the product development process (PEP)
• Identifying and implementing improvements to bonding processes and applications to increase efficiency, quality and cost
• Developing, validating and optimizing bonding methods and processes for various materials and applications for future and existing battery systems
• Carrying out material analyses and bonding tests to evaluate adhesive performance and ensure requirements are met
• Interdisciplinary teamwork and shopfloor management in a core project team with representatives from project management, development, quality, logistics, production and controlling, to ensure project goals of new projects and production targets of series projects are achieved

• Completed engineering degree (e.g. with a focus on adhesive technology and mechanical joining) and completed further training as an adhesive engineer (European Adhesive Engineer - EAE) or equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional experience in project business, preferably in the automotive sector for highly automated production lines, with experience in developing and implementing bonding processes and applications
• Sound knowledge of adhesive technology, materials and processes as well as experience working with various adhesive materials and applications
• Experience in carrying out material and bonding tests and knowledge of relevant test methods
• Knowledge of quality management and experience in complying with industry standards and regulations are an advantage
• Teamwork, assertiveness and decision-making ability, as well as good German and English skills in speech and writing
