About this Apprenticeship

You will encounter international teams with challenging tasks and the independent assumption of projects. Are you ready to find out how far your knowledge, talent, and ambition can take you in the global world of commercial vehicles? Then join us as a dual student! The Physical Asset Management & Energy Management department is responsible for the operation and the building-services and energy-related further development of the sites in Hanover, Langenhagen, Gronau (Leine), and Wietze. Our range of tasks includes holistic building management, maintenance and optimization of the technical infrastructure, and the planning and implementation of new construction, conversion, and modernization projects. In doing so, we design both new buildings and construction projects in existing buildings and ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable site operation. As a dual student (m/f/d), you will actively participate in the following activities in the Physical Asset Management/Energy Management department: Monitoring and coordination of maintenance and repair work on buildings, machines, HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), sanitary, electrical, and other technical equipment of the plant. Planning and monitoring of preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Control of repairs and troubleshooting on building services systems in cooperation with the maintenance team. Coordination of external service providers. Monitoring of work by external contractors to ensure quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Monitoring and management of consumables, spare parts, and the inventory of technical equipment. Support in budget planning and control of expenditures in the area of facility management. Optimization of energy consumption and monitoring of supply systems (water, gas, and electricity). Identification and implementation of measures for cost reduction and sustainability. Our 3.5-year Green Engineering/Energy and Process Engineering program combines theory and practice! We train you at our Hanover site in cooperation with the Hanover University of Applied Sciences. The program is designed as a full-time course. Lecture-free days and your semester breaks are spent with us in the company. In addition, a practical phase via a vacation semester is aimed for. Besides your assignment in your core department, ZF offers you the opportunity to complete assignments in other departments. Additionally, our dual students form an autonomous team with the goal of health promotion. As part of the "Sports & More" team, you plan and organize cross-site sports events, tournaments, or participation in regional events for all employees.
