Claims Settlement Specialist for Travel Insurance

You will process claims from travel insurance policies and assess liability for benefits. Your responsibilities will also include communicating with various parties, reconciling accounts, pursuing recourse claims and preventing fraud.

• Processing claims from travel insurance, especially travel cancellation and travel health insurance
• Applying cross-product expertise to assess liability for benefits
• Clarifying medical matters and applying and interpreting policy terms as the basis for thorough claims settlement
• Corresponding with members, doctors, clinics, lawyers and ADAC branches
• Reconciling accounts with the respective service providers
• Identifying, implementing and pursuing recourse options
• Handling tasks related to intensive fraud prevention

• Completed vocational training, ideally as an insurance and finance clerk
• Expertise in claims settlement, especially in travel insurance, is desirable
• Ideally, medical and/or legal experience that can be applied effectively when assessing claims
• High commitment, resilience and flexibility
• Competent, calm and service-oriented manner when dealing with members
• Very good MS Office skills and confident, routine use of common applications
