Stress Engineer and Technical Approver SA/A330

Airbus Aerostructures GmbH is looking for a Stress Engineer and Technical Approver SA/A330 at the Augsburg Area / Augsburg Plant 4 location. Permanent position for professionals in Structure & Dynamic Systems Analysis.

• Preparing certification reports (Check Stress Dossier / ACDs / IRDs) for primary and secondary aircraft structure
• Analysis and validation of metal structures for static strength based on currently valid methods
• Preparing strength proofs as well as numerical and analytical calculation models
• Approval of stress deliverables
• Preparing test definitions and supervising structural tests
• Defining and coordinating work packages for suppliers
• Carrying out structural analysis for in-service repairs
• Assessing and checking build deviations / DQNs and construction documents
• Contact person for manufacturing and design on all questions in the area of responsibility
• Supporting DtV and DtC topics as well as improvement projects
• Carrying out project management and leading projects while keeping to time, cost and quality
• Coordination with internal and external customers

• Completed degree (engineering or aerospace engineering) or comparable qualification acquired in another way
• Several years of relevant, solid knowledge in static structural analysis (aircraft fuselage); additional basic knowledge in fatigue & damage tolerance is an advantage
• Knowledge of numerical and analytical calculation methods (analysis program ISAMI, Hypermesh/Hyperview, Nastran, HSB, Niu, Bruhn, etc.)
• Knowledge of Airbus methods and processes in the SA/A330 area is an advantage
• Linear / non-linear FEM calculations desirable
• Programming skills (e.g. Python)
• Confident use of CATIA V5 and Google Workspace, MS Office also advantageous
• Further IT skills: ISAMI, Nastran, Hypermesh/Hyperview, CATIA V5, Abaqus, Python, SAP
• Fluent English for negotiations
