About this Apprenticeship
Start your future at Airbus Friedrichshafen! Are you curious about technology and want to help shape the world of tomorrow? Then an apprenticeship or degree at Airbus is just right for you! Electronics technicians for devices and systems manufacture components and devices in the field of information and communication technology for unmanned flight systems, put them into operation, and maintain them. They produce prototypes and one-offs, select the necessary mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, and assemble them into reconnaissance and surveillance systems or space systems. Supporting the development of novel devices – by analyzing required functionalities and designing system and software solutions – is also part of their tasks. ## Information about Vocational School The apprenticeship lasts 2.5 years, as the first apprenticeship year is credited to the vocational school. With particularly good performance, an additional shortening is possible. The responsible vocational school is the Electronics School in Tettnang. Vocational school instruction takes place one to two days per week. ## Your Location: Airbus Friedrichshafen (Immenstaad) – Innovation Meets Quality of Life At the Airbus site Friedrichshafen, you shape the technologies of tomorrow – with a view of Lake Constance. While you relax in our canteen at lunchtime, you enjoy the Alpine panorama. After work, our diverse company sports groups offer the perfect balance – whether jogging, sailing, or skiing. Friedrichshafen is the center for groundbreaking developments in the fields of satellites, probes, and instruments for Earth observation, navigation, meteorology, and space research. Furthermore, we are leaders in the development of reconnaissance and surveillance systems, avionics solutions, unmanned flight systems, obstacle warning systems, combat management and communication systems, as well as mobile hospitals and sensors for air and space reconnaissance. ## What Awaits You In our modern training laboratories, you receive a solid and versatile technical foundation that you can directly deepen in a practice-oriented manner in the respective departments. Your apprenticeship is complemented by competence and project days, in which you build key qualifications in a targeted way. Thanks to small teams and personal support, you can continuously develop and optimally unfold your individual strengths.
