Satellite Ground Segment Crypto AIT & Operations Engineer for national crypto verification

At Airbus Space Engineering you take ownership of the development, integration, verification and operation of crypto systems for satellite ground segments. You define technical strategies, lead complex engineering tasks, mentor junior team members and work closely with subject experts.

• Independent end-to-end crypto design, implementation and verification for new ground segments
• Independent software development and verification of test procedures or scripts that check crypto functions and devices
• Independent implementation and transfer of test procedures into different system languages
• Structured and autonomous execution of functional integration and verification tests for crypto systems
• Self-directed definition and implementation of verification documents according to ECSS standards
• Independent migration of the crypto chain to a cloud-based architecture
• Self-directed integration of the latest crypto hardware in the ground segment

• Completed university degree in technical computer science or comparable
• At least 3 years of professional crypto experience with hardware and software components
• (IT) security knowledge
• Advanced software implementation and review skills: Java, C++, Ansible, TCL, (Groovy, ASLAN)
• Advanced experience with tools: JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Confluence
• Advanced expertise in: Linux, OSI model and protocols, virtualization, logging, certificate management, security hardening, firewall configuration, switch configuration
• Experience in software development (Agile development, Linux environments, DevOps, Kubernetes)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Fluent in German and English
