In the 2-year apprenticeship as a salesperson or the 3-year apprenticeship as a retail merchant, you will learn how retail processes work: starting with ordering goods, receiving, presenting and storing goods, through to sales and sales-promoting measures. Depending on the tariff area, you will work between 37 and 39 hours per week including vocational school times. The vocational school will be near your place of residence.

A school leaving certificate (qualified secondary school certificate or intermediate secondary school leaving certificate); Enthusiasm for food and consumer goods; Motivation, initiative and reliability; Numeracy skills and desire to actively apply them; Team spirit and enjoyment of customer contact; Good German language skills (at least level B1) to ensure smooth communication with customers
