About this Apprenticeship
Alexianer St. Gertrauden Hospital in Berlin-Wilmersdorf is a modern acute care hospital with 396 planned beds, an academic teaching hospital of the Charité and part of the nationwide Alexianer group. Around 1,000 employees care for patients in 19 medical departments. They are looking for a resident physician who wants to continue specialist training in cardiology.
What You'll Learn
- Care of inpatient cardiology, gastroenterology and general internal medicine patients
- Medical care of patients in the IMC including CPU and the central emergency department with observation unit
- Modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab and endoscopy
- Comprehensive and sound training; besides assignments in the central emergency department and functional areas, we offer rotations in geriatrics or angiology and externally within the Alexianer network
Requirements
- Licensed as a physician (m/f/d)
- Completed training time in intensive care medicine is desirable, but not required
- Strong social and professional skills, team player
- Willingness to perform and act independently
- Willingness to work shifts
- Enjoyment of working with patients and colleagues
- Positive attitude toward the Christian values of our company
- Proof of measles immunity according to legal requirements
What Alexianer offers

- Fair pay according to AVR Caritas (analogous to MB-VKA) with mostly employer-financed pension plan (KZVK)
- 31 days of vacation, up to 6 days of paid leave for further training
- Additional leave for night and shift work, up to a total of 39 vacation days
- Training authorization exists for Internal Medicine (under WBO 2004) and for Internal Medicine and Cardiology for 60 or 36 months (under WBO 2004 and 2021). Authorization for Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology has been applied for. There are also training authorizations for Geriatrics, Angiology, Diabetology, clinical emergency and acute medicine, intensive care medicine and palliative medicine
- Very good cooperation in the therapeutic team of cardiologists and gastroenterologists (m/f/d) and with the independent departments of Angiology, Geriatrics and Diabetology as well as all other specialties
- Participation in teaching for practical-year and medical students
