Tax Specialist

Alexianer GmbH is seeking a full time tax specialist in Münster. The department handles the Alexianer Group’s income and transaction taxes, as well as tax matters relating to charitable status.

• Help prepare or independently draft annual corporate income tax and trade tax returns for all Alexianer Group companies
• Review tax assessments and handle further correspondence with the tax office where needed
• Prepare monthly advance VAT returns and annual VAT returns for the VAT group
• Calculate annual reserves permitted under charitable tax rules and prepare the statement showing how funds were used
• Support and advise all Alexianer Group companies and departments on tax and related matters, coordinating with external advisers where needed
• Support tax planning and optimisation
• Assist with tax audits
• As experience grows, there may also be opportunities to help with tax due diligence reviews and restructuring projects.

• Commercial vocational qualification, possibly with further training in accounting, financial accounting or advanced tax practice, or a completed degree focused on business administration
• Several years of professional experience, ideally at a tax advisory firm or in a company tax department
• Knowledge and experience in health and social care, especially tax privileged charitable organisations, would be welcome
• Confident computer skills
• Strong commitment, initiative, teamwork and interpersonal skills
