Ward Psychologist

The Alexianer Hospital Hedwigshöhe in Berlin-Grünau is a modern acute hospital and academic teaching hospital of the Charité. The placement is the general psychiatry ward St. Benedikt, focused on patients with experience of psychosis, bipolar disorders and acute stress reactions. The part-time position starts on 15.12.2026, initially fixed-term until 15.09.2027 as parental leave cover, with the option of a permanent contract.

• Primary therapy in close multiprofessional cooperation with doctors, nurses, social workers and occupational therapists (m/f/d)
• Carrying out individual and group psychotherapy as well as crisis interventions
• Carrying out psychodiagnostic procedures to clarify differential diagnoses
• Leading talks with relatives or networks when needed
• Proactive contributions to developing the ward concept
• Supervising and mentoring psychological psychotherapists in training
• Active participation in internal training sessions

• Licence as a psychological psychotherapist (PPT) with completed psychotherapy specialist training
• Interest in working with people who have experienced psychosis or have bipolar disorder
• Expertise / prior experience in acute psychiatric work
• Resilience and interest in concept development
• Openness to integrative concepts and interventions across schools of therapy
• Team skills and the ability to reflect on processes in a multiprofessional team, among other things to implement developed concepts effectively
• Willingness to work on site at least 4 days a week
