At the Berlin site, more than 1,800 employees develop and manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems. In the precision optics apprenticeship, you can expect an exciting combination of theory and practice: In our own training workshop you work with modern machines and processes that are in demand worldwide. Throughout your apprenticeship you will be individually supervised and optimally prepared for your career entry in a future-oriented industry.

Manufacture optical components from raw material to finished high-tech product; Learn to process glass and ceramics initially by hand and later with modern precision machines; Grind, polish, measure and inspect optical components according to technical specifications; Combine manual dexterity with modern manufacturing technologies; Safely use and maintain tools, measuring instruments and machines; Gain practical experience in various production areas and cleanrooms; Work in our own training workshop and apply your theoretical knowledge in a production environment

Intermediate school diploma, technical college entrance qualification or general university entrance qualification; Interest in mathematics, physics, natural sciences or technology; Interest in working with computers and high-tech equipment; Interest in learning both manual and machine-based precision manufacturing processes; Patience and perseverance in demanding precision tasks; A steady hand and good fingertip sensitivity; Curiosity, willingness to learn and reliability; Enjoyment of teamwork and open communication; Flexibility and openness to different work areas and early working hours
