Test System Developer

For the Aesculap division at the Tuttlingen site, in the Test System Engineering team (Research & Development), you develop, validate and support automated inspection and test systems for medical devices and components across the whole product lifecycle. You contribute to product quality, patient safety and regulatory compliance.

• Creating requirement and specification documents for electronic inspection and test systems
• Developing, building, programming and commissioning inspection and test systems for medical products and components
• Designing hardware and software solutions for automatic function, safety and performance tests for series testing
• Creating test concepts, test strategies and test procedures during product development
• Developing test software using suitable programming languages and test frameworks
• Selecting and integrating measuring and testing equipment
• Analyzing measurement data and identifying and fixing causes of errors
• Carrying out verification and validation activities according to regulatory requirements
• Creating technical documentation, specifications and test reports
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines, especially in regulated medical technology
• Further developing existing test platforms and standardizing test processes
• Technical support for production, service and quality management

• Successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, medical technology, technical computer science or a comparable field
• Alternatively, further training as a technician (w/m/d) with relevant work experience
• Several years of experience developing inspection or test systems, ideally in a regulated environment
• Experience in software development for automated tests
• Knowledge of measurement, control and regulation technology is an advantage
• Experience in verification and validation of technical systems is desirable
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, C++, Python or LabVIEW
• Experience with measurement and data acquisition systems
• Knowledge of sensor technology, electronics and signal processing
• Understanding of software and system architectures
• Knowledge of normative requirements, for example IEC 60601, ISO 13485, is an advantage
• Confident handling of development and test documentation
• Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
