About this Apprenticeship

As a trainee at one of Germany's largest health insurance funds, you will help support over 8 million people every day. Sounds good? Then apply now and start your apprenticeship with us on 1 August 2027!

What You'll Learn

During your apprenticeship, you will gradually develop into an expert in social security and learn to advise people reliably on health issues and protect them in all situations. You will become familiar with the processes in a statutory health insurance fund – gaining comprehensive insights into our innovative health and service offerings. You will acquire sound knowledge about health, prevention, membership and contributions to competently assist insured persons in case of illness or long-term care. Processing applications will soon become part of your daily routine – naturally with our support and guidance. As soon as you are ready, you will take on responsibility: you will address customers, listen actively and find suitable solutions for individual concerns. Theory and practice go hand in hand with us – complemented by teamwork and a lot of joy in learning together.

Requirements

With us, personality counts, not just your educational background: with a secondary school diploma, a (technical) high school diploma, a few semesters of study or an already completed apprenticeship – you are welcome! Health is more than just a word for you – it is close to your heart. You want to understand the health system and help shape a health insurance fund that is one of the largest in Germany. Communication is in your blood: you can listen well, explain clearly and remain empathetic even in difficult moments. Team spirit is a matter of course for you – moving things together motivates you. Very good German language skills at least at C1 level round off your profile and enable you to communicate professionally with insured persons and colleagues.

What We Offer

With flexible working hours and up to 37 vacation days per year, there is enough time for friends, family and leisure. In addition, 24 and 31 December are non-working days. You can also work and learn from home – we will of course provide you with a mobile device. We support you from the start – with seminars, regular feedback talks and personal support from qualified trainers. You will become part of our strong trainee network – for exchange, motivation and lots of fun in the team. With a takeover rate of almost 100%, many doors are open to you. With good performance, you have the option to shorten your apprenticeship by 6 months. You receive an above-average training allowance (1st year: €1,500; 2nd year: €1,580; 3rd year: €1,660). 38-hour week. Up to 39 days of vacation per year. Holiday and Christmas bonuses. Flextime model with home-office option. Part-time option. Collective agreements & regular salary increases.
