Materials Planner, Material Management

For the Raw Material & Intermediates unit at the Würzburg site, you plan the supply of input materials such as raw materials, semi-finished goods and packaging, and manage inventory to ensure trouble-free production supply and optimal tied-up capital.

• Responsibility for ordering input materials in close cooperation with purchasing and neighboring service units, central contact person for suppliers
• Cost-optimized and stable supply process for the production plants and its proactive further development
• Early detection of shortfalls, needs-based placing of orders, monitoring local stock and due delivery dates
• Proactive response to demand fluctuations and cooperation with customer order management, resource planners, production schedulers and Supply Chain & Operations
• Planning responsibility for a defined raw material portfolio for all European production sites, monitoring shelf life and turnover
• Ensuring optimal material master data quality, initiating optimizations, contributing to projects and shortage management

• Completed commercial training with very good administrative knowledge in material management, ideally first supply chain experience such as purchasing or materials management
• Experienced use of MS Office and SAP S/4 HANA, ideally experience with SAP APO E-PPDS
• Good, effective communication in English and confident, efficient dealings with internal customers and external suppliers
• A strong sense of responsibility, strong teamwork skills and constructive collaboration with colleagues
• Strong analytical skills, very good organizational ability and independent way of working
• Interest in digital solutions for process optimization
