Electrical Planner

BAUER is seeking an electrical planner to review detailed design plans and prepare workshop and installation plans. The role includes coordinating technical systems planners, carrying out technical calculations and working with clients and project participants.

• Review and assess detailed design plans
• Use these to prepare workshop and installation plans for the project team
• Coordinate technical systems planners, check their drawings and approve workshop and installation plans
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, current technology standards and internal quality management processes
• Carry out technical calculations, such as short-circuit and selectivity calculations and power balances, and identify risks early
• Clarify technical questions with clients and project participants, lead meetings, develop cost-effective solutions and keep your specialist knowledge up to date

• Completed electrical vocational training recognised in Germany, for example as an electronics technician for energy and building technology, plus a master craftsperson qualification or equivalent training and several years of experience on large construction sites
• Extensive experience in planning and installing power and low-current systems, as well as security, fire alarm and communication systems
• Confidence working with technical drawings, circuit diagrams and standards (VDE, DIN), as well as common planning and calculation tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN and SIMARIS, ideally with BIM experience
• Ability to carry out technical calculations independently and assess feasibility, cost-effectiveness and safety
• Teamwork, strong communication skills, a focus on solutions and continuous development of your specialist knowledge
