Apprenticeship as a Retail Management Assistant or Sales Assistant

BAUHAUS offers training as a sales assistant or retail management assistant. The first two years lead to the sales assistant qualification; the third year qualifies trainees as retail management assistants. Training covers sales, customer advice, stock management and marketing.

• Learn the key skills for sales and customer advice
• First get to know the whole BAUHAUS store, then specialise in areas such as the garden centre, paint, plumbing or other departments
• During the first two years of sales assistant training, learn how to order goods sensibly and display them effectively
• During the third year of retail management assistant training, learn about stock management and marketing activities
• Help customers with their workshop, home and garden needs

• A school leaving qualification is important, but personality matters most
