Mechanic

Mechanic role in Bayer's Consumer Health division in Grenzach-Wyhlen. Maintain, troubleshoot and provide technical support for production and filling equipment in a shift-based role.

• Carry out and document all required maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair technical systems and machinery, including building services, utility supplies and conveyor systems.
• Provide technical support for production, filling and other technical equipment while considering quality, GMP, safety and business requirements.
• Complete preventive servicing, maintenance and necessary repairs on time and to a high standard.
• Help determine maintenance and inspection intervals.
• Manage spare parts in your area, including reporting needs and managing stock.
• Contribute to projects, equipment modifications and commissioning.

• You have completed technical vocational training.
• Ideally, you have several years of experience setting up, servicing and maintaining production and filling machines in sterile areas of GMP facilities or cleanrooms.
• Preferably, you have knowledge of building services, pneumatics, hydraulics, process equipment, conveyor systems and plumbing, as well as documentation that meets GMP requirements.
• You have a good understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams and operating process control systems.
• You have good computer skills, including MS Office, and ideally SAP.
• You can think analytically and identify and fix faults systematically.
• You show a high level of flexibility, initiative, willingness to work hard and attention to quality.
• You have good spoken and written German.
• You are comfortable working early, late and night shifts and are willing to take part in on-call duties and specialist training.
