Dual Study Program in Media Design in Central Design Control & Promotion

Design what people see! In the dual study program Media Design in the BR department Central Design Control & Promotion, you develop visual concepts for television, online media, and social media – from animation to screen design. You combine creativity with technology and make content visible, understandable, and unique. The program is suitable for everyone who lives design, senses trends, and wants to actively shape digital media. You should have a good eye for design and enjoy translating ideas into a visual language. Basic training in graphic design/typography, multimedia, and motion design in the first two years of study; specialization in the third year as a multimedia and motion designer (f/m/d); visualization of design ideas; illustrations, image editing, video editing, and animation; storyboard creation for interactive applications and videos; development of digital design concepts for websites, social media, and mobile applications; style guide creation for large online projects; presentations. The practical phases at BR take place at the BR site in Munich-Freimann. The theoretical phases are completed at DHBW Ravensburg. The phases alternate every three months. The program usually lasts six semesters and concludes with a Bachelor of Arts degree. The focus of the practical phases is on design and conception.

You have a technical college entrance qualification (Delta examination at DHBW required) or a high school diploma; you have a good sense of aesthetics and your passion and joy for visual design drive you; you are a team player and your way of working is characterized by a logical and structured approach; you have a good understanding of color and form; you enjoy designing and presenting; you ideally have initial experience in designing and implementing animation graphics or screen designs; terms like Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/CSS/JavaScript are not completely foreign to you.
