• Plan and observe security measures, protection and safety regulations for preventive and actual danger defence
• Identify, assess and manage hazard sources, danger situations and legal regulations
• Communicate and de-escalate in conversations
• Apply safety-related work tools and aids
• Plan and organise security services
• Operate and monitor safety and signalling technology
• Initiate immediate measures in emergencies and irregularities
• Note: Besides the classic 3-year apprenticeship, a 2-year retraining is also offered

• High degree of empathy and enjoyment in dealing with people
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability, physical fitness, preference for order and safety
• Technical understanding and good communication skills
• Police clearance certificate without entries and possibly already driving licence class B
• Lower or intermediate secondary school diploma and good knowledge of German and maths
