Expert Transport Preparation of Radioactive Waste Containers

For our container preparation department at our Essen site, we are looking for the earliest possible start date:

Support in the development of a transfer container for cast containers (MOSAIK containers). Accompanying the redesign of shock absorber systems for the delivery of cast containers (MOSAIK containers) to the Konrad final repository. Participating in other technology related to the production of final repository suitability (plant engineering 1-2-3 measures, thermal protection hood, tempered delivery). Initiating and, if necessary, carrying out tasks related to ancillary provisions from the approvals for final repository suitability of waste containers.

Successfully completed university degree with a focus on mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field. Expertise in conditioning, packaging, handling and transport of radioactive waste. Professional experience in the production of waste containers, especially cast containers. Professional experience in the development and construction of conditioning facilities for radioactive waste desirable. Independent, efficient and structured way of working. High commitment and sense of responsibility as well as strong communication and team skills.
